An instructor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and East Carolina University, this talented artist is also an accomplished Cave Canem Poetry Fellow.
His teaching career spans 11 years and collectively includes teaching composition and literary studies courses at three additional universities as well as institutes of higher learning.
A research writer as well as a creative writer, he is currently compiling a book of poetry entitled, "Outside of Honor."

Rita Zahir goes by "the Accidental Poet," and although she’s had a love affair with poetry that goes back decades, she is new to speaking the words out loud. Her poetry spans from erotic to empowerment pieces, all done with love.

Nyarko (formerly known as Amzane) South Florida native is an author, poet, spoken word artist and full time chemist. When she’s not in the lab, she enjoys writing and performing her poetry. With a fiery passion for the sensual and erotic, she lights up the stage, seducing souls near and far.

Gnatee Doe
Coining the phrase, "I'm a Black boy from the hood who writes like Shakespeare, but Shakespeare can't write like me," Gnatee Doe is completing his first spoken word album as well as his first novel.
Born in Brooklyn, NY and currently residing in Daytona Beach, FL with his wife and five children; he credits growing up in the projects -- as well as the adversities he faced as a former U.S Army soldier, and Daytona Beach police officer with helping to mold his creative and artistic persona.
With two books of poetry available on Amazon, he has also produced and directed his first short film this year!
Loic Ekinga Kalonji
A Congolese poet, storyteller, and screenwriter enthusiast -- Loic's work in poetry and fiction focuses on the human experience and memories.

Bob Blankenship
During a trip to Scotland in 2017, The Lord awakened a deeper passion for poetry in Bob Blankenship. Today, Bob is determined to use his gift to share the love of Jesus with the world. This includes a special emphasis on challenging the church to be courageous in their pursuit of reaching the lost for Christ and growing the Kingdom through their own gifts.
In addition to being featured monthly in GODSPEED Magazine, Bob's work has gained recognition at Ohio Christian University and Nashville Tennessee's Brave Worship. His poetry has been a natural fit for worship projects. Recently, Bob has partnered with AnchorHouseTV by providing audio recordings of his work to encourage believers in their daily faith journey.
Earlier this year, he founded a local poetry guild in his community called Brave Bards which is designed to awaken other poets and create a space for all to share. Bob is hoping to launch his first podcast and book later this year.

Alissa
Coming across this poet was simply serendipity. Short and sweet, her words told a story that many could relate to.
Alissa grew up just east of Boston, in the sprawling city of Framingham, Massachusetts.
Alissa worked briefly as a freelance journalist and has continued writing short stories as well as other pieces. Over the last few years, she dove head first into poetry and has not looked back! "I am so happy to share my work with others," she says.
